Design

Architectural Standards have been promulgated by the Community Board for implementation by the Architectural Committee (“AC”) to ensure that design principles and criteria are in effect which will promote Encinitas Ranch to retain its Quality, Character and Overall Value.  Prior to commencing any design, please review the Architectural Standards carefully.  The effort will assist you and your neighbor volunteer Committee Members with getting your project approved and underway as quickly and painlessly as possible.

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW PROCESS

Following is a brief overview.  A detailed description of the process can be found in the Architectural Standards.

  1. Submit an application
Submit your application, along with any other required documentation, to the management company. Incomplete information will delay your project. Please consider and allow for the appropriate time period for your application to be reviewed. By California Civil Code the HOA has 45 days to review applications. Please factor that time period into the planning for any improvements requiring an application.
  2. Architectural Committee (AC) Review
The AC will review your application and perform any site inspections outlined in the association documents.  You will be contacted if the AC has questions or if there are problems with your request. Note – the AC enforces community standards and guidelines but it is up to you to make sure you meet local building code requirements and secure any needed building permits.
  3. Approval or Denial
You will be notified in writing regarding the approval of your application.  WORK ON IMPROVEMENTS MAY NOT COMMENCE UNTIL WRITTEN APPROVAL OF YOUR APPLICATION IS RECEIVED.

The applications and related forms can be found under Forms on the website.
