Update on Encinitas Housing Element Task Force

Numerous residents of Encinitas spoke at the city council meeting last Wednesday, January 18th about the proposed selection of the city owned parcel of land on Quail Gardens Drive (referred to as L-7) for inclusion in the affordable housing element plan. There were homeowners from Encinitas Ranch, Quail Gardens Lane as well as from the One Channel development who shared their concerns and opposition about this change in position on the part of the city council and the Housing Element Task Force members from mid-December. Much of the concerns centered around increased traffic on Quail Gardens Drive.

If homeowners have any concerns they should share those with the city council and Housing Element Task Force members.
