There are many more residents and guests in the streets walking or riding these days and more scooters,mini-mopeds and electric bikes. With these changes in conditions comes an increased chance for an accident.

All of us in Encinitas Ranch have a responsibility to make our community as safe as possible.

PARENTS

• Ensure that all riders have proper safety gear including helmets
• Supervise when people are in the streets
• Educate everyone about traffic conditions and safe riding practices
• Please keep the streets open for traffic. This is especially critical for allowing emergency vehicles to gain access.

 

DRIVERS

• Exercise more caution and be on the lookout for people in the street
• Obey all of the posted speed limits signs and come to a full stop at all intersections; wait and watch for people and opposing traffic
