Starting on June 1, 2020, EDCO will begin collecting food scraps for recycling. Once the program begins, residents can place food scraps, in addition to yard waste, in their green roll-out carts. EDCO will collect and process the materials at their anaerobic digestion facility, converting the materials into digestate and renewable energy!

The program will improve environmental and community health, convert waste into a valuable product, and help the City achieve its climate action goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
