Mayor Tony Kranz is going to ask his colleagues on the city council to consider a park on the city-owned property on Quail Gardens Drive known as L-7 when the council meets starting at 6 PM on Wednesday, August 28th.
Mayor Kranz is recommending that the council direct the Parks & Recreation Commission to consider the creation and naming of a park on the vacant site at 634 Quail Gardens Drive known at L-7 based upon the gift offer being made by Glen Johson.
We strongly endorse the city taking this action and encourage homeowners to either send an email to the city council members and/or attend the council meeting to advocate for this park.
Below is a recommended agenda item comment form that the city uses. Please complete this form with your contact information.
We have proposed the content for the comment form and the email addresses for the council members. You can simply copy and paste the content below the dotted line and send to the council.
Understand that if you choose to attend you can either speak or simply give a completed pink slip with your position on agenda item 12A to the city clerk. We recommend sending an email but leave the decision to every resident of Encinitas Ranch.
If you elect to send in an email please do so by close of business Tuesday, August 27th or early Wednesday the 28th.

We strongly support the naming and designation of the city owned parcel of land at 634 Quail Gardens Drive (L-7) as a park. We desperately need more park space to help offset the impending developments along Quail Gardens Drive.
