Encinitas Fire Departments Recommendations for enhancing wildfire preparedness and prevention

On Wednesday, April 23rd, Josh Gordon, the fire chief for Encinitas, will be providing an update to the city council on the Encinitas Fire Department’s Wildfire Gap Analysis Report and the PublicHealth & Safety Commission’s prioritized recommendations for enhancing wildfire preparedness, prevention, and response.

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
1. Receive and discuss the Fire Department Wildfire Gap Analysis Report.
2. Receive and discuss the Public Health & Safety Commissions Prioritization of Recommendations.

Wildfires in California are affecting everyone in one way or another. All homeowners in Encinitas can expect to see increases in their homeowners’ insurance or the potential to see that their insurance was cancelled.

It is vitally important that everyone become educated on wildfire preparedness and prevention.
