As of Wednesday, December 24th  at 4 PM, there have been three break-ins of mailboxes in Encinitas Ranch. These are on Paseo de las Flores, Samuel Court and Heritage Lane. In addition the thieves also hit the mailboxes at the apartment buildings on Quail Gardens Drive next to Encinitas Blvd.

The thieves broke the master lock and accessed mail. This is a federal crime so that US Post Office is pursuing the criminals and are responsible to replace the master lock. We do not have a timeframe for these repairs. Notices have been posted on those affected mailboxes asking homeowners who access their mail through these mailboxes to visit the post office to pick up their mail until the repairs have been made.

We will notify everyone once the repairs have been made. If you happen to live close to one of these mailboxes and have a camera that might have captured criminal activity please reply to encinitasranchhoa@gmail.com with your contact information which will be passed to the post office.
