Enhanced Arbor Management will be conducting the annual tree pruning within Encinitas Ranch starting next week. The project is scheduled to begin Monday, January 12th and continue into early February (weather permitting). Their team members will be on site from 7:30 AM to 2 PM daily. Below is detailed information regarding the type of pruning they will be doing and their definitions.
- Structural pruning: Selective removal of live branches and stems to influence the orientation, spacing, growth rate, strength of attachment and ultimate size of branches and stems.
- Clearance pruning: Selective pruning in order to clear sidewalks, buildings, roadways, etc.
- Reduction pruning: Selective pruning to decrease height and/or spread by removing specific branches.
- Crown Cleaning: Selective pruning to remove one or more of the following parts: dead, diseased, and/or broken branches. All cleaning will be of branches one inch in diameter or greater throughout the entire crown.
Also, the arborist is currently scheduled to remove the dying canary palm tree on Paseo de las Flores on January 21st, subject to weather conditions.
We understand this project and the tree removal will cause some slight inconvenience to the community due to traffic control and use of street parking spaces while they are on site. We would like to ask (and thank you in advance) for your cooperation in working with their team to assure the project runs smoothly.
