Teens on e-bikes harassing residents

Posted on: March 30th, 2026

On Friday, March 27th, there were apparently two incidents involving teenagers on e-bikes who were physically harassing residents on the trail connecting Cypress Hills Drive to Lynwood Drive and the the city trail behind Lynwood. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries but the community wanted to make homeowners aware. Please catch carefully for groups of teens on e-bikes and watch your surroundings.

The crime prevention specialists at the Sheriff’s Department were contacted to seek out suggestions which are outlined below:

1. Call 911 as soon possible and practical without endangering yourself.
2. Take photos or videos if possible without causing problems.
3. If you are not in harm’s way then call the sheriff’s non-emergency number:  858-966-3200.
4. If ‘you see something say something’ using one of the two phone numbers. The sheriff is much more likely to respond to such incidents if they are reported.
The Homeowners Association is not a police force and our governing documents prevent the community from taking further enforcement actions.
