Recent Enhancements to the Entry on Paseo de las Verdes

The community recently planted three mature date palms to the center island next to the entry on Paseo de las Verdes to the south mesa. This center island was previously owned and maintained by the city of Encinitas. After some lengthy negotiations the city agreed to allow us to take over ownership and responsibility to maintain just this center island on Paseo de las Verdes. The remainder of the city, including the parkways, will continue to be maintained by the city.

Once this agreement was formalized the community removed three trees that were really struggling and replaced them with date palms. In the next few weeks, uplighting will be added to island to highlight the trees at night and plants will be installed.

This project is one of the more noticeable landscaping enhancements made this year.

Below are several photos, before and after the installation of the palm trees.
