Many homeonwers may not be aware that the City of Encinitas owns and maintains all of Paseo de las Verdes and Paseo de las Flores up from Quail Gardens Drive to the intersection with Jensen Court. This includes not only the road itself but most of the landscaping as well.

The community has lobbied and gained agreement from the city Parks & Recreation Department to improve the overall aesthetics of Paseo de las Flores from Quail Gardens Drive to the entry monument. This will include the addition of numerous trees as well as plants, ground cover and border boards for the decomposed granite (DG) walkways. Ground cover will be added to the area between the sidewalk and the white picket fences.

In addition the city has agreed to add more trees on Quail Gardens Drive between Via Zamia and Paseo de las Flores.
