The Architectural Committee recently met with our Sherwin Williams color consultant to learn about the latest trends in color schemes and designs for homes. It is important for the community to be cognizant of these changes and take any necessary steps to ensure that the homes in Encinitas Ranch continue to be attractive, well maintained and offer strong aesthetic values.
Many homeowners may not be aware that the community created and maintains an entire library of every home in Encinitas Ranch with a digital photograph and exact color scheme. The library is organized into books by builder and copies of these books are available through N.N. Jaeschke, the local Sherwin Williams store on El Camino Real as well as through members of the Architectural Committee.
Homeowners can use these books to get ideas for paint colors when the time comes to repaint their house. On average a home needs to be repainted approximately every eight to ten years. They can also get help from the local Sherwin Williams store and their color consultants.
A lot of work goes into maintaining this library of color scheme books and the Architectural Committee is in the process of updating the books and decommissioning a number of color schemes. While a paint color scheme might have been in style 18 or 20 years ago, some are no longer attractive or relevant. Our color consultant recommended that the Architectural Committee undertake this work over the next several months and the work is beginning.
For those owners considering repainting their house they should contact members of the Architectural Committee through our N. N. Jaeschke administrative assistant, at [email protected] or at 858-795-7015 for assistance with paint color schemes.
