A number of residents in Encinitas Ranch have been following the discussions between the Encinitas City Council, the Jewish Family Service (JFS) and the Leichtag Foundation regarding the establishment of a Safe Parking Program on the Leichtag Commons property. While the HOA is prohibited from engaging in any political activities outside of the physical boundaries of our community we are actively monitoring the details of this effort.

Below is a copy of a memorandum from the Leichtag Foundation with more details of the Safe Parking Program. They are holding a neighborhood forum on Sunday, January 12th at 2 PM for neighbors and we encourage homeowners who are interested to attend. The memo has a link to a set of Frequenty Asked Questions (FAQ’s) that might also be helpful.

In addition, the City of Encinitas is hosting a public forum to discuss the proposed Jewish Family Service (JFS) Safe Parking Program on Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive. During the forum, City staff will provide information on the proposed program and address questions.
