Several months ago the Architectural Committee met and agreed to make a minor change in the Exterior Paint Guidelines to help preserve and protect the attractiveness of the homes in Encinitas Ranch. This change was also supported and recommended by Sherwin Williams Paint Company and their local color consultant.
As this constituted a rule change formal notification was provided to all members and soliciting feedback. No feedback was received so the board formally adopted this change at the May 19th board meeting.
This changes now requires a minimum of three paint colors for an entire house. Colors can be specified for the following elements, if existing on a given house:
- Stucco siding
- Wood siding
- Masonry siding or accents
- Trim (wood or stucco)
- Decorative metail detailing
- Front or side entry gates
- Exterior light fixtures
The new revised Exterior Paint Guidelines are on the community website and there is a link below to them:
It is highly recommended that all homeowners consult these guidelines well before they plan to repaint their home.
