This post is an update on efforts to advocate for traffic and safety mitigation measures on Quail Gardens Drive and Saxony Road. As mentioned in previous news articles on this matter a consortium of HOA’s and neighborhoods along this road corridor was formed to press the city to develop and implement plans to install various traffic mitigation measures to reduce vehicle speeds, vehicle volume and improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles on these roads.
The consortium has made considerable progress since inception in elevating the importance of these concerns with the city including having this matter added to the agenda for the city council to discuss and hopefully direct city staff to develop recommendations.
This matter will be brought before the city council this coming Wednesday, October 19th. If you would like to help advocate for traffic and safety measures it is really important that you appear at this city council meeting starting at 6 PM on the 19th. Please fill in a pink slip to express your support for the council to direct city staff to develop specific recommendations. This is for agenda item 12B. You do not need to stay for the entire meeting but you are welcome to stay and even speak if you would like to follow the discussion by the council.
Below is the formal notice adding this matter to the agenda.
