Board of Directors Election and Annual Membership Meeting

Within the next two weeks homeowners in Encinitas Ranch will be receiving ballots to elect three (3) members to the Board of Directors for the Encinitas Ranch Community Association.

At the annual meeting on Wednesday, November 20th at the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course, three (3) Directors will be elected, each for a term of two (2) years. An organizational meeting of the new Board of Directors may follow the Annual Meeting should a quorum of the Board members be present.

In accordance with the Bylaws of our community, Article 4, Section 4.9, a quorum of at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the voting power is required. There are exactly 500 homes in Encinitas Ranch so there is a need to receive at least 125 valid ballots from members. This has been a challenge in some years so it is vitally important that you take time to vote. 

Per state law, the Board of Directors has contracted with an independent vendor, The Ballot Box, to serve as the Inspector of Election for the purpose of preparation, receipt and tabulation of the ballots for this meeting. They will be mailing out the ballots. In accordance with applicable California Civil Codes, voting is accomplished by secret written ballot. Each home has a total of three (3) votes, one (1) vote for each Director being elected at this meeting. Cumulative voting is permitted.

So, please take time to review the candidate qualifications and send in your signed ballot to Ballot Box who is including a self addressed mailing envelope with the ballot mailing.

The deadline for the receipt of mailed ballots is 12:00 PM (noon) on November 18, 2024. Ballots will also be accepted at the meeting location on November 20, 2024.
