All of the homeowners in Encinitas Ranch are no doubt following the horrific fires in Los Angeles County with great interest. It is worth mentioning that there are two major focus areas as it relates to keeping homes safe from wildfires. The community is responsible for brush management and tree trimming in the common areas to mitigate the spread of wildfires. Homeowners are responsible for brush management on their own properties and preparing their homes for wildfires.
Encinitas Ranch takes fire prevention very seriously and is committed to working with the City of Encinitas and the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course to minimize risk and ensure safety.
The community is very confident with their brush management practices. We meet and exceed all of the brush management practices as detailed by the City of Encinitas. Our community is inspected annually by representatives from the city’s fire department to ensure that we are in compliance with their standards and any variances in the past have been quickly addressed.
Below are links to some helpful information posted on our own website about how to prepare your home for wildfires and fire safety and brush management for private properties. These can be found under Community Background Information on our website in the footer of every web page.
