On Wednesday, May 22nd, the City Council approved the final plans and funding for the traffic measures to be implemented on Quail Gardens Drive and Saxony Road. The contract for $809,214 was made to Blue Pacific Engineering and Construction, Inc. This is very good news for residents who lives along these two road corridors.
To recap the major traffic measures for Quail Gardens Drive these will include two stop signs and one roundabout. Two four way stop signs will be installed at Via Zamia and Kristen Court. A roundabout will be build at the intersection of Ecke Road and Quail Gardens Drive next to the entrances to the EUSD Farm Lab and Botanical Gardens. Also, new and improved bike lanes will be added. All of these measures are intended to improve safety, reduce speeds and traffic volume.
