One of the most commonly reported complaints to the homeowners association is regarding dog owners who do not keep their dogs on leash on the trails surrounding the community. There have been reports of residents getting knocked down, injured or scared and even worse their own dogs attacked.

To address this issue the County Animal Control Services department was contacted. They were made aware of the complaints and will be starting regular patrols along the trails around the periphery of the community. Please keep your dogs on leash. Otherwise, you could incur a fine that is in excess of $400.

Thanks for your consideration in this matter. The trails are there for the benefit of the residents of Encinitas Ranch and surrounding areas and everyone should follow the guidelines that are posted at regular intervals along the trail system.
