For the past year and a half the leadership team of the Four Corners Consortium has been advocating on behalf of all residents along Quail Gardens Drive and Saxony Road for safer traffic conditions. The Four Corners Consortium has representation from each of the HOA’s and neighborhoods along this road corridor.
These efforts have yielded detailed recommendations from the Encinitas city staff that will be shared with the city council on Wednesday, August 23rd. These recommendations include various traffic mitigations measures aimed to making these roads safer for pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles by reducing speeds and traffic volume. This will be a mix of STOP signs, a quick build roundabout and potentially several speed tables.
The consortium needs your support if these recommendations are to be approved and implemented. Please show up to the city council meeting at 6 PM on the 23rd at Encinitas City Hall to voice your support. The council reacts positively to residents appearing in person and numbers make a big difference. You can either speak or submit a speaker’s slip endorsing the recommendations. Alternatively, you can send an email or letter to the city council members at their email addresses below:
