Update on the Encinitas Ranch Facebook Group

For the purpose of clarity, the Encinitas Ranch Facebook Group is no longer a formal HOA communication channel, nor will there be any content moderation by the HOA. It serves as an open forum for residents to respectfully engage and source occasional service providers.
The Board has identified legal risks in maintaining administrative ownership of the Encinitas Ranch Facebook group, as unchecked discourse on the forum could be misconstrued as Board or Association-endorsed language, increasing liability. Additionally, the HOA lacks the resources to continually monitor content or manage member approvals.
The HOA encourages the community to continue to connect with one another and engage in informative civil discourse. Rather than disbanding the group, the Board has opted to transfer administrative responsibilities to a non-HOA affiliated resident who has volunteered to manage the group as an independent community forum.
Effective February 20, 2025, the HOA will relinquish administrative ownership of the group.
