Recently the homeowners who live in the Quail Ridge development decided that they wanted to establish a formal Neighborhood Watch program. This started with two residents, Steve Liu and Cher Bettencourt, arranging for the Crime Prevention Specialist from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department North Coastal Station to attend a meeting with many of the homeowners who live in Quail Ridge. They had a very strong turnout and as an outcome took the next steps to gather up key contact information for each homeowner including address, email address and phone number. They had designated Block Captains and established a private NextDoor group specifically for just the homeowners who live in Quail Ridge and it is invite-only.
Below is a link to a web page on the Sheriff’s Department website where you can learn more about the Neighborhood Watch program.

The homeowners who live on Lauren Court heard about this and are now taking the next steps to set up a similar program for the homeowners on their street.
We encourage all homeowners in Encinitas Ranch to consider setting up such a program with their own neighbors.
Finally, below are several pages from the Sheriff’s Department about steps you can take to further protect your homes.
