Most of Encinitas Ranch is located in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone. It is incumbent on all of us to be well prepared in the event of a wildfire. One of the five districts in Encinitas, Olivenhain, has done a great job in raising awareness, helping residents create defensible spaces around their homes, hardening structures so they are better able to withstand ember storms, direct flames, and radiant heat and prepare for evacuations. They have formed a formal fire safe council that is extremely well organized.

We encourage you to explore their website and leverage all of the resources that they have curated.
Some preliminary discussions have been held with the Encinitas Fire Department as well as Public Health and Safety Commission about Encinitas Ranch forming their own fire safe council. This commission has been tasked with helping to organize other fire safe councils in Encinitas with willing and interested communities like Encinitas Ranch.
If you are interested in helping in move discussions along with the Fire Department and this commission, please send an email to the community email address at encinitasranchhoa@gmail.com
