During the December 18th city council meeting the future of the city owned property on Quail Gardens Drive known as L-7 was added as a council member initiated agenda item. Jim O’Hara and Luke Shaffer brought forward the idea of formally designating L-7 as parkland. the council directed city staff to prepare a report evaluating the process of downzoning the L-7 parcel for public or semi-public use as a community park. The report will also assess other city-owned properties not currently designated as parkland and determine whether rezoning them is appropriate.
