The city is currently in the midst of approving and allowing over 1300 housing units to be built along the Quail Gardens Drive and Saxony Road corridor in the next few years. Many new articles and posts on the website have been written in an attempt to keep the homeowners in Encinitas Ranch informed on this matter. This is about safety, quality of life and traffic.

The following is a short update on progress with advocating for traffic mitigation measures on Quail Gardens Drive:

1. The council voted unanimously to direct city staff to proceed with developing plans and identify budget.
2. A number of representatives of the Consortium also attended and spoke at the city Planning Commission on October 20th about the Baldwin & Sons planned development for 485 housing units next to the Sunshine Gardens Apartments. The commission had many questions and comments about the project and deferred to approve or deny the project.
