Burtech Pipeline, the construction contractor selected to install the recycled water line into the south mesa will start work beginning October 1st with surveying and staking. On or around Tuesday, October 9th, they will begin to mobilize their equipment and start actual construction. The south mesa includes all of the homes accessible from Paseo de las Flores and Paseo de las Verdes. When the project is complete in early 2019 the entire community’s common areas will all be irrigated with recycled water.
The plan is for them to trench and fill at the intersection of Quail Gardens Drive then move up Paseo de las Flores and then down Lynwood Drive to the very south end. They intend to trench and fill about 200 feet per day, Monday through Thursday. They will use Fridays as the day where they will place a final top coat of asphalt and roll it to achieve a smooth surface. Burtech will also be installing a booster pump station next to the existing restrooms on the golf course adjacent to Paseo de las Flores. Their detailed project plan indicates that the entire project will be complete by the end of March, 2019.
SEJPA has hired Water Solutions Consulting, Inc. (WSC) to provide community outreach to ensure that all homeowners in the south mesa are aware of the project plans and timelines. Expect to see signage, door hangers and other communications as part of this effort.
There will always be one lane of traffic available on Paseo de las Flores and Lynwood Drive. None of the other streets in the south mesa should have any traffic restrictions. In some cases it make more sense to enter and exit the south mesa via Paseo de las Verdes.
We will keep everyone updated on a very frequent basis actual construction gets underway.
