Your Input Needed: Age-Friendly Encinitas Project

Posted on: August 5th, 2025

The City of Encinitas is conducting a study to address the future needs of the older adult population, ensuring the community remains vibrant and inclusive. This study is not only for those of us who are 50+ today but also for planning ahead. The city needs your input through a survey that covers facilities, services, parks, and transportation.

It’s crucial that they hear from active community members like many of you. So far, we have received over 800 surveys, but they need a stronger representation from the entire community.

Please take a moment to complete the survey by following the link in the attached flyer or the one below. Your feedback is essential to ensure your voices are heard and your needs are met. There is no age or residency requirement, so feel free to share this with your network and encourage others to participate.

After the survey closes, there will be “Listen and Learning” sessions where you can provide additional feedback and review the survey results. This initiative will span a year and culminate in an “Age-Friendly” Action Plan for council review, catering to people of all ages and abilities.

For more information on the initiative and to access the survey, please visit www.EncinitasCa.gov/AgeFriendlyEncinitas.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the city. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
