For those of you living in the south mesa you may have noticed that the Landscaping Committee in collaboration with BrightView has completed a major renovation of the slopes behind Rihely Place and below the 700 block of Lynwood Drive. The team spent weeks removing poor soil as well as old or dead plant material and replaced them with a bright colorful palette of new and more drought tolerant plants. The central focal point of the improvements is the zig zag trail that connects Lynwood Drive to Cypress Hills.
The next phase of the slope renovations is underway for the slope areas behind Brae Mar Court and the 600 block of Lynwood Drive. The plant palette will follow the same approach used for the slopes behind Rihely Place.
In the fall phase 3 will be undertaken to address the slopes behind Verbana Court and the 500 block of Lynwood Drive. It will be completed in the fall of this year.
Depending on our remaining landscaping budget the final phase of these south mesa slopes involve those behind Jensen Court and the 800 block of Lynwood Drive. They will be completed either late this year or early in 2019.
