The community is doing their part to ensure that we are in compliance with the City of Encinitas and their brush management practices and policies. The city regularly inspects Encinitas Ranch to determine if we are in compliance with proper brush management and we have maintained a stellar record. You may notice that there is more open space behind some homes and on slopes. Our landscaping contractor, BrightView, is being very proactive with providing defensible space around the perimeter of the community.

Below are a few examples of areas where we have done some significant brush management.

Mitigating wildfires is a collaborative effort and the community is working hard to do their part but homeowners play a key role as well.

We are working to arrange for a meeting with the fire prevention team at the city to provide homeowners with more advice on what steps they can take to further harden their homes against wildfires. We will provide advance notice of the meeting with the fire prevention team.
