City Council to consider request to operate a Safe Parking Program on the Leichtag Foundation property

Posted on: November 18th, 2019

It has come to the attention of the board of directors that the city council is considering taking action to approve a request from the Jewish Family Service (JFS) to operate a Safe Parking Program on the Leichtag Foundation property located at 441 Saxony Road for 25 households living in their cars.

The city council is going to receive a presentation from the JFS and the Leichtag Foundation at their next council meeting this Wednesday, November 20th.

Per our CC&R’s (article 4.5.3) the community is prohibited from engaging in any federal, state or local political activities or activities intended to influence a governmental action affecting areas outside the boundaries of the Covered Property Act.

However, the board did want to make homeowners aware of this matter and potential proposed actions as they individually may choose to take their own position and provide input to the city council and/or the JFS and Leichtag Foundation.
