Community Security Update

Posted on: May 5th, 2021

The board is very mindful of several recent home and car break-ins. While the community is not responsible for protecting homes and personal property such as cars the board has commissioned a small committee to look at various means to enhance overall security. Already, our security patrol company has been redirected to conduct all of their patrols during the night time in the hope that this may offer additional deterrence to any criminal activity.

In addition, the committee is meeting with the Crime Prevention Specialist at the local Sheriff’s Department to gain their insights into other measures that could be taken to help with overall security. The committee is also looking into the potential to install surveillance cameras at entries as well as help with establishing Neighborhood Watch programs.

As their work progresses the committee will regularly update the membership on their work and ultimately their recommendations.
