It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Chuck Steimle, an original owner of Encinitas Ranch and resident of Rihely Place on August 9th. Chuck served on the board of directors for over ten years and was selfless in his devotion to the community. He was ever present on Rihely Place and always involved with street activities. He loved the children and as one gesture spread easter eggs on the lawns every year. Chuck was a founding member of the Rihely Beach Club, an informal group of owners who came together to celebrate various events throughout the year and he helped with every social event held by the community. You could count on him to help with arrangements for events including setting and cleaning up and his favorite event was the annual Oktoberfest event where the bratwurst were his specialty.

His ethics and morals were beyond reproach and he stood his ground when debating issues of concern to the board of directors.

We will miss him greatly and we wish his wife, Karen, the very best.
